iSchool Virtual Academy is an online, fully accredited virtual school which includes a unique 3rd through 8th grade program redesigned specifically with younger students in mind.

We provide students with a fun, safe and engaging learning experience offering opportunities for success through both an engagement based, teacher-directed approach as well as an independent based, student-directed approach. FIRST STEP THROUGH ACCLIMATION

GUIDING YOU & YOUR STUDENT FROM DAY ONE

All students are assigned a success coach on or before the first day of school. This coach serves as a homeroom teacher and engagement specialist. Combined with our certified teachers and professional staff, the success coach spends ample time acclimating both student and parents/guardians to our online learning environment.

We make sure students understand how to navigate our online-school before classes begin through a guided onboarding experience. This includes preparation time focusing on technology, systems and access to our academic program during the first week.

Parents are given an onboarding session which includes parent access and expectations. Within the first week a virtual tour and meeting with teacher/success coach will take place, in which students and parents/guardians will learn about live classes, drop-in office hours, review expectations and address any next steps.

MASTERY BASED ACADEMIC PROGRAM

Students are provided with a mastery based state accredited curriculum, aligned with target due dates and unit deadlines to assist them with pacing. Our program provides an effective way for students to show true comprehension and understanding of the materials.

FLEXIBLE INSTRUCTIONAL MODEL

MULTIPLE OPTIONS FOR DIFFERENT LEARNING NEEDS

While our program allows for flexibility based on each student, however, students are expected to stay on pace based on the due dates assigned through the curriculum. Our teachers and success coaches are available in their virtual classrooms daily Monday – Friday to support our students.

FOUNDATIONAL SUPPORT FOR SUCCESS

For our 3rd and 4th grade students, we identify individual reading levels and address any gaps by providing supplemental instruction from our Reading Specialist in order to provide the best opportunity to be successful in our online school.

We understand the importance of reading and comprehension in our program, and offer individualized support to give our students the best chance of success.
